ACASC & FICS Affiliation Update (10/12/2025):
After December 31, 2025, the ACASC will no longer be the FICS NCSC for the United States. As an ACASC member, your membership has always included a FICS membership. Starting January 1, 2026, your ACASC membership will not include a FICS membership.
Transition Plan
In December (or sooner), FICS will issue all current ACASC members a simple opt-in code to transfer their membership to the new FICS Regional Membership - North America. The FICS administration team will be able to support members with technical assistance.
Members will NOT need to complete any application as the code will allow a seamless switch from ACASC to regional membership.
LA28 - 2028 Summer Olympics & Paralympics
This will not affect ACASC members’ involvement in LA28 (Olympic & Paralympic Games) or any scheduled FICS events.
There are several pathways to potentially be involved in LA28.
Through FICS, in coordination with the local organization committee
Through a National Governing Body from the USA
Through a National Governing Body from another country
Through the United States Olympic and Paralympic Committee
Through the International Sports Federation
Through the local organizing committee, separately from FICS.
