ACA Sports Council is now accepting applications for the 2017-2018 Student E-Board
This will serve to announce that the ACA Sports Council is currently accepting applications for the 2017-2018 student sports council e-board! Please look over the following criteria for the process that will be taking place over the next few weeks. Please distribute and share with your individual Sports Councils, SACA chapters and any sports related chiropractic clubs you may have on campus that may be interested in applying.
This is a great opportunity for any highly motivated student interested in greater involvement in the ACA Sports Council. The individuals who belong to this team develop strong relationships with exceptional students from other chiropractic colleges. These students also have special opportunities to work and network with top sports chiropractors in the country.
Applications must be received by October 1st, 2017.
An application should include:
1. A letter of intent, which may include but is not limited to:
a. Potential goals for the student ACASC, should the applicant be successful
b. Desired position and second choice --- not required
3. Recommendation from a faculty member
4. Must be present at the Annual Symposium for interviews

The president serves as a representative of the students to the doctor executive committee and the ACA Sports Council. They oversee the operations of the student executive committee, conduct regular conference calls and connect with chapter representatives.
1st. Vice President-
The 1st VP’s main duty is membership. They oversee the tracking of chapter representatives, maintain open lines of communication with the chapters, and work towards the preceptor/mentor program. The 1st VP also serves as the liaison to the SACA Specialty Councils.
2nd Vice President-
The 2nd VP’s duty is event planning. The main event is the ACA Sports Council Symposium and the doctor/student “speed dating” event. The 2nd VP has opportunity to interact with vendors
The secretary’s primary responsibility is ensuring effective communication between the committee. They record the minutes from the meetings and server as the editor of the student Sports Talk section.
Social Media Director
The social media director connects with students ACA sports council members through social media. They communicate the objectives of the executive committee to all students.
